֍ L’obélisque Napoléon en 1914. Il fut inauguré le 12 avril 1804 et commémore l’ouverture du col de Montgenèvre qui a permis la liaison routière vers l’Italie.
֍ Napoleon’s obelisk in 1914. It was inaugurated on 12 April 1804 and commemorates the opening of the Montgenèvre pass, which provided a road link to Italy.

֍ Le « fort des Nuages » en 1939. La construction de cette batterie d’artillerie fut entreprise à partir de 1898 par l’Italie au sommet du mont Chaberton. Elle était constituée de 8 tourelles équipées de canons de 150mm dirigés vers la France.
֍ The « Fort of the Clouds“ in 1939. The construction of this artillery battery was undertaken from 1898 by Italy at the summit of Mount Chaberton. It consisted of 8 turrets equipped with 150mm guns pointed toward France.
֍ Il « Forte delle Nuvole » nel 1939. La costruzione di questa batteria d’artiglieria fu intrapresa dal 1898 dall’Italia sulla cima del monte Chaberton. Era composta da 8 torrette dotate di cannoni da 150 mm puntati verso la Francia.
֍ Das « Fort der Wolken » im Jahr 1939. Der Bau dieser Artilleriebatterie wurde ab 1898 von Italien auf dem Gipfel des Berges Chaberton in Angriff genommen. Sie bestand aus 8 Türmen, die mit 150-mm-Kanonen ausgestattet waren und nach Frankreich gerichtet waren.

֍ Le « fort des Nuages » en 1939. Au cours de la bataille des Alpes, six des huit tourelles furent neutralisées par l’armée française le 21 juin 1940. L’armistice du 24 juin 1940 mit fin aux combats; le fort fut finalement abandonné le 8 septembre 1943. À la fin de la guerre, la frontière fut légèrement rectifiée pour placer la montagne en France.
֍ The « Fort of the Clouds“ in 1939. During the Battle of the Alps, six of the eight turrets were neutralised by the French army on 21 June 1940. The armistice of 24 June 1940 put an end to the fighting; the fort was finally abandoned on 8 September 1943. At the end of the war, the border was slightly rectified to place the mountain in France.
֍ Il « Forte delle Nuvole  » nel 1939. Durante la battaglia delle Alpi, sei delle otto 8 torrette furono neutralizzate dall’esercito francese il 21 giugno 1940. L’armistizio del 24 giugno 1940 mise fine ai combattimenti; il forte fu infine abbandonato l’8 settembre 1943. Alla fine della guerra, il confine fu leggermente rettificato per collocare la montagna in Francia.
֍ Das « Fort der Wolken  » im Jahr 1939. Während der Alpenschlacht wurden am 21. Juni 1940 sechs der acht Geschütztürme von der französischen Armee ausgeschaltet. Der Waffenstillstand vom 24. Juni 1940 beendete die Kämpfe, und das Fort wurde schließlich am 8. September 1943 aufgegeben. Nach Kriegsende wurde die Grenze leicht korrigiert, um den Berg in Frankreich zu platzieren.
